Reflection

The biggest thing i'll take away from this class is seeing the beauty of nature. I never really paid much attention to plants or trees but ever since we started this class I think about how I should take a picture of the plant or tree that catches my interest. I also learned how to take good pictures. I really didnt struggle a lot in class. I only struggled when we had to hike or climb up rocks. It was hard for me but Emir Tony and Juan helped me out.(Thanks you guys! You guys are my buddies!! :) My favorite trip that we took was when we went to Golden Gate park. The walk was really long but all the fountains and ponds were really pretty. I liked the duck family I saw. I thought it was really cute.

Day 10 Mountain View Cemetary

I thought these flowers were really pretty especially the black roses. I thought it looked really pretty. I've never seen black roses before.

This is a picture of a plant I saw. I thought the colors look really nice together. I noticed that the leaves are symmetrical.
This is a picture of the floor in the crematory. It looks like the squares were iterated. It sort of reminds me of a beehive.
This is a picture of the roof of the crematory. I thought it looked really cool. It makes an intresting pattern.

Day 9 Golden Gate Park

I really liked this picture because I thought the duck family looked really cute. It's one of the cutest things I've ever seen. I noticed that the mother duck's feathers have a pattern in them also.

I liked this picture because it looks really nice. It reminds me off the waterfalls in Yosemite and all the nature there was in Yosemite also. There's a lot more nature in the Bay Area than I thought there was.
I liked how I took this picture. I thought it looked really pretty. I liked how the chinese pavillion reflects on the pond. It just looks really pretty like a place to relax and chill.
This plant caught my interest of how the spikes pop out. This plant looks really irregular to me. It's complex not like other plants that are more simple.
I think this picture looks really intresting because it dosent look like a pond. It's actually a pond with algae. Algae is a type of plant that grows in water. I thought it was intreseting because the first time I saw it I didn't notice that it was a pond.
I liked this picture because it reminds me of a tropical forest. It looks really pretty. I think that the tree's bark looks really interesting because it looks like it has mini barks coming out of the bark.

Day 8 Dimond Canyon & Optical Illusion

This is an optical illusion. If you look at the picture it looks like the lady has her eyes both open and close. I liked this illusion a lot. When I first saw it I saw that her eyes were open but then they looked close. I wanted to see if it was going to open again until I looked at it closer I saw the illusion.
This is a picture of Oakland from when we finished the hike. I think it looks really pretty. You can see the temple.
This is a picture of plants we saw during the hike. I noticed that they look symmetrical. This plant looks simple.
This is a mini waterfall of the creek. I thought it looked nice. The water is self similar because it's made of itself.
This is a picture of the creek. I noticed that I can see the trees shadows. The spots of sun make it look nice to.

Day 7 Patterns in milk & cellular automata

This is a picture of a pattern we made in the milk. We put 1 drop of 4 different colors of food coloring in the milk. We then put detergent in the middle of the plate and the colors started swirling and making different patterns. I thought it was really cool. It reminded me of tye-dye t-shirts.

Before
After

This is another picture of cellular automata. This one is different because it was in 3D. I drew a picture of a boy and a monster. When I pressed the pattern button it made that picture above. The squares are always moving. If the pattern stops then the moving stops but if the pattern goes on forever it wont stop.

This is a picture of cellular automata. They're triangles inside more triangles. It keeps on going forever. You can zoom in or out and it still keeps on going. At first I just started with 4 squares. When I put the number I wanted the pattern to go it did all of that.

Day 6 SF Ferry & Fountains

This is a picture of the water falling from the first fountain we went to. It looks really cool to me. I looks like the water is frozen in place. The water here has self similarity. It looks like itself
This is a picture of the bay bridge when we passed it. I thought it looked really nice. The clouds look really nice to. I think that the clouds have a pattern in it.

This is a picture of the water from back of the ferry when we were leaving the dock. I thought it looked really cool. I noticed that the faster the ferry goes the more white bubles come from the water.

Day 5 Leona Gorge & Mandlebrot Set

This is a mandlebrot set. I chose to put this one because it looks like a boat. If you zoom up into it the same figure it appears. It keeps on appearing infinitely.  I think this is really complex.
I took this picture when we were done hiking Leona Gorge. I think it looks really beautiful. I've never noticed how much trees and green there is in Oakland.
I took this picture of a waterfall that we saw when we were hiking up Leona Gorge. I think it looks really pretty and peaceful. It seems like a good place to think and just relax.
This is a picture of a plant that I saw when we were at Merrit's garden. I thought that the white outline on the leaves look nice. It makes the plant stand out more. I think that it makes a pattern to.
This is a picture of a leave from another plant that I saw at Merrit's garden. I thought that the lines on the leave make a cool pattern. It makes the plant's leave look more complex then it is.
